Titre du document: Document title:Human Trafficking in South Asia: Issues of Corruption and Human Security
Description:
This paper focuses on the situation of human trafficking in South Asia, particularly in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. It argues that the focus on trafficking as a problem of illegal migration and prostitution still dominates the discourse of trafficking in this region, which prioritizes the security of the state over human security and does not adequately address the root causes of trafficking and the insecurity of trafficked persons.

Titre du document: Document title:Human Smuggling and Trafficking into Europe, a comparative perspective
Description:
A report examined human smuggling and trafficking across Europe. It said that people were trafficked from across the world, often through the primary transit routes that were used for trade. It said that the barriers to entry in Europe had led to the creation of a variety of 'facilitators', both those who were organized and willing participants, and others who unwittingly aided the process. It said there was a problem of corruption among officials. The report called upon policy makers to address the demand for migrants through education, prevention, prosecution, and improvements in labour laws, and for countries to harmonize their efforts.

Description:
This report presents the findings of a survey of Georgia law enforcement agencies as to the number of sex and labor trafficking investigations during the year 2012. Moreover, this study serves as a baseline assessment of the Georgia law enforcement community's knowledge and perceptions of human trafficking activity. The 206 participating agencies reported a total of 190 cases of human trafficking in which at least one victim was identified (oftentimes cases have more than one victim).

Titre du document: Document title:“I’ve Never Experienced Happiness” Child Marriage in Malawi
Description:
Victims of child marriage in Malawi face many barriers in getting help from authorities.
Many girls and women do not know what their rights are under the law, or do not know
where to look for assistance other than from their own families or traditional authorities,
who often fail them. The absence of clear family legislation means that most matters
relating to marriage, divorce, maintenance payments, and domestic violence are handled
through customary procedures.

with criminals transporting, transferring, and harboring Eritreans by using force or the

means both countries are breaching their obligations under national and international
anti-trafficking laws, international human rights law, and national criminal law.
