Description:	IOM's report identified Lesotho, Mozambique, Malawi, and a number of refugee-producing countries as key source countries for women and children trafficked to South Africa, with Malawian women also having been trafficked to European destinations. The report revealed that women from Thailand, China, and Russia are also being trafficked to Southern Africa. Since then it was confirmed that human trafficking is thriving in the region through its interviews with over 170 victims of trafficking.

Titre du document: Document title:	A Situational analysis of child sex tourism in India
Description:	A situational analysis of child sex tourism in India (Agra, Delhi and Jaipur), or child sexual exploitation who is a form of chid prostitution, with rape and pornography. For the purpose of the study the researchers visited places where there was the possibility of child sex tourism. They also selected specific times of the day when both the tourists and the children could be present. Interviews were conducted in places like the railway station, footpath, busy market areas, and other tourist spots. They also visited some of the slums because usually children from these areas go to other places in search of jobs and therefore are more vulnerable. The Juvenile Justice Act has been amended in 2000. In spite of that the issue of sex tourism has not been incorporated.Laws specifically on sex tourism should be introduced to deal with the issue.

Description:	The growth of tourism has been identified as a contributing factor to growth of sexual exploitation of children. Paedophiles prefer developing countries like Nepal probably because Nepal does not have significant laws against paedophilia and the extradition law also is not put in practice. The study did not find any organized form of sex tourism existing in Nepal, but usually through the individual contact, because children are found to be very easily available to the tourists. Families also favour the attachment of children with the tourist because they regard them as a good source of money and high prestige. On the basis of the study findings and observations, some recommendations are made, like a need for tourism authorities to develop a “code of conduct”.
