Titre du document: Document title:Sex slave Jihad
Description:
A measure of Islamic fundamentalists' success in controlling society is the depth and totality with which they suppress the freedom and rights of women. In Iran for 25 years, the ruling mullahs have enforced humiliating and sadistic rules and punishments on women and girls, enslaving them in a gender apartheid system of segregation, forced veiling, second-class status, lashing, and stoning to death. In a religious dictatorship like Iran, one cannot appeal to the rule of law for justice for women and girls. Women and girls have no guarantees of freedom and rights, and no expectation of respect or dignity from the Islamic fundamentalists. Only the end of the Iranian regime will free women and girls from all the forms of slavery they suffer.

Titre du document: Document title:South Eastern Europe’s struggle against trafficking in persons
Description:
A new era of regional leadership in addressing trafficking in human beings in South Eastern Europe has started. Since 2000, when the Stability Pact Task Force on Trafficking in Human Beings (SPTF) was created and established under the Austrian Chairmanship of the OSCE, it has led the way in the development of a comprehensive regional strategic framework and in establishing institutional mechanisms for the fight against human trafficking. Each of the countries has a national governmental anti-trafficking coordinator and a multidisciplinary national working group/team/committee to organize its anti-trafficking work and to interact with nongovernmental and international agents. Much has been accomplished by the countries in recent years and progress is evident.

Titre du document: Document title:Streets apart
Description:
In trying to decide what to do about the sex industry, the Home Office prostitution review team has looked closely at both the Swedish and Dutch models. Where cities such as Liverpool are following the Officer Jan Schoenmaker's line and trying to establish easier ways for prostitution to occur, Gunilla Ekberk in Sweden is clear about what needs to happen in the UK. "Stop punishing the women and start focusing on the men who create the demand. Helping women escape means lives will be saved. We abolished slavery. There should be no room in any society for the buying and selling of women and children's bodies."

Titre du document: Document title:The "subject" of prostitution, interpreting the discursive, symbolic and material position of sex/work in feminist theory
Description:
Prostitution is often viewed in feminist theory as the sine qua non of the female condition under patriarchy. However, there are limitations in viewing prostitution as straightforwardly paradigmatic, given the contingencies and diversity of the structures under which its materializes.

Titre du document: Document title:The Swedish law that prohibits the purchase of sexual services
Description:
Best practices for prevention of prostitution and trafficking in human beings by Gunilla Ekberg from the Ministry of Industry, Employment, and Communications. After several years of public debate initiated by the Swedish women's movement, the law that prohibits the purchase of sexual services came into force on January 1, 1999. The law is the first attempt by a country to address the root cause of prostitution and trafficking in beings : the demand, the men who assume the right to purchase persons for prostitution purposes.
