Titre du document: Document title:A Typology of online child pornography offending
Description:
The Internet has increased the range, volume and accessibility of sexually abusive imagery, including child pornography. Child pornography depicts the sexual or sexualised physical abuse of children under 16 years of age. Australia has joined many other nations in an international effort to combat this multi-faceted global menace that combines both heavily networked and highly individualised criminal behaviour.

Description:

-

The Special Rapporteur had some 60 meetings and direct contact with approximately 500 people. Child sexual exploitation converges with other social problems, such as poverty, social exclusion, child labour, gender discrimination, and violence. In that context, organized crime takes advantage of the needy situation of poor families by offering what seems to be a quick way to make money. The foremost challenge is for a public policy to break this cycle of social exclusion, the black holes of Brazilian society that the State and basic social services do not reach.

Titre du document: Document title:Victims of trafficking for forced prostitution - Protection mechanisms and the right to remain in the destination countries
Description:
This study aims to explore the right of trafficked victims of forced prostitution to remain in destination countries through the application of legal standards and victim protection mechanisms found at the national, regional and international level. The study also highlights the importance of State recognition that trafficked persons are victims of serious human rights abuses. Premised upon the principle that nondiscrimination is a fundamental human right, this paper argues that States need to take steps to safeguard the legal rights and protective needs of trafficking victims regardless of their immigration status or willingness to cooperate with law enforcement officials.

Titre du document: Document title:An absence of choice - the sexual exploitation of North Korean women in China
Description:
The sexual exploitation of North Korean women in China is a complex issue. It encompasses a wide range of situations and levels of complicity on the part of the woman. In cases of trafficking, women can be forced into marriage or the sex industry. The methods by which traffickers recruit women are deception, coercion and abduction. Although many women try to escape from their exploitative situation, others do not. Testimonies from trafficked women indicate that many remain because they feel helpless and powerless to change their situation.
