Titre du document: Document title:The health of trafficked women : a survey of women entering posttrafficking services in Europe
Description:
Trained counselors interviewed 192 women who had been trafficked and sexually exploited about abuse and evaluated their physical and mental health status within 14 days of entry into posttrafficking services. Most reported physical or sexual violence while trafficked (95%), pretrafficking abuse (59%), and multiple posttrafficking physical and psychological problems. Newly identified trafficked women require immediate attention to address posttrauma symptoms and adequate recovery time before making decisions about participating in prosecutorial or immigration proceedings or returning home.

Titre du document: Document title:Here, there, everywhere : the ubiquitous geographies of heteronormativity
Description:
From its first tentative forays into questions of gay and lesbian residence, the discipline of geography has made increasingly important contributions to literatures on sexual identities, practices and politics. In this paper, the author seek to highlight the breadth and depth of recent work on sexuality and space by exploring the contributions made by geographers to the theorisation of heteronormativity. Specifically, he explores how heterosexual norms are constructed ansd reproduced spatially, noting the increasing corpus of work which moves beyond examination of heterosexuality's Other (i.e. homosexuality) to consider the multiple desires and bodies that can be accommodated within the category 'heterosexual'. Moving from urban to rural contexts, this paper hence reviews literatures detailing how particular heterosexualities are rendered normal and concludes that the literature is usefully shifting from a focus on identity and community to questions of practice and performance.

Titre du document: Document title:How do high-risk youth use the Internet? Characteristics and implications for prevention
Description:
Using data from the Second Youth Internet Safety Survey, a nationally representative telephone survey of 1,500 youth Internet users (ages 10 to 17), this study explores differences in Internet use characteristics between high risk youth and other Internet users. Those youth who engaged in aggressive behavior online and those who used the Internet on a cell phone were about twice as likely to be classified as high risk (having experienced high parent conflict or child maltreatment) as compared to other Internet users. Those youth who talked with known friends online were significantly less likely to be included in the high risk group. Controlling for demographic and Internet use characteristics, youth who received an aggressive sexual solicitation were almost 2.5 times as likely to report experiencing physical abuse, sexual abuse or high parent conflict. Implications for prevention are discussed, including avenues for reaching high risk populations of youth.

Titre du document: Document title:How Many Juveniles are Involved in Prostitution in the U.S.?
Description:
There have been many attempts to estimate the number of juvenile prostitutes within the United States. These estimates range from 1,400 to 2.4 million, although most fall between 300,000 and 600,000. A close look at these diverse estimates reveals that none are based on a strong scientific foundation. They are mostly educated guesses or extrapolations based on questionable assumptions.
