The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. In Romania, after the National Plan of Action to Prevent and Combat Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Exploitation for Commercial Purposes (2002), the National Plan of Action for Preventing and Combating Trafficking in Children and Social Reintegration of the Victims (2004-2007 was implemented. But creating a national focal point on CSEC is a matter of urgency, as all coordination related to CSEC currently only addresses trafficking. |
