 The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. In Sweden, a National Plan of Action Against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (1998) was updated in 2001. But a child must be consistently defined as a person under the age of 18 in all laws related to CSEC. Sweden must ratify the Convention on Cybercrime and the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings. More concrete governmental action is required to deal with the problem of child sex tourism.
