 The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. Mauritius has a National Plan of Action on the Protection of Children against Sexual Abuse. But sufficient financial resources must be allocated for the full implementation of the NPA, including Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. Involving the hotel and tourism industry in efforts to prevent the sexual exploitation of children in tourism is essential: the adoption of the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism by tourism industry stakeholders must be fostered.
