Description:
 This paper presents the law enforcement response since 2001 to the activity commonly referred to as online child sexual abuse, as experienced by member agencies of the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT). The paper comprises : a discussion of progress made since the Second World Congress regarding legal, resourcing, collaborative and partnership issues ; an assessment of the current and emerging threats to the protection of children and young people from sexual abuse online and to law enforcement investigation of such activity ; a brief outline of future research and development with the potential to contribute positively to our understanding and to improve our investigation of online child sexual abuse.
