Description: | The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. In Mauritania, the Plan of Action against the sexual exploitation of children was officially adopted in November 2005, but very few activities have been conducted to date. It urgently needs to be executed through the allocation of financial resources and mobilisation of concerned government ministries and agencies. |
