Description: | The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. In Togo, the CSEC has not been appropriately acknowledged by the Government as a problem affecting the country and, as such, Togo has not developed a national plan of action to combat the various forms of CSEC. The Government, as well as international organisations, needs to acknowledge that the commercial sexual exploitation of children is a serious child rights issue in the country and must devote the necessary resources to develop and implement a National Plan of Action to Eliminate CSEC. |
