Titre du document: Document title:Feminismo y prostitución: la persistencia de una amarga disputa
Description:

Titre du document: Document title:The gender dimension of human trafficking
Description:
There are several factors which contribute to trafficking in women. Their vulnerability,
especially as a consequence of violence, and the demand for their sexual services are
two leading factors which have received increased attention in recent years. Tackling
this demand requires addressing prostitution. EU Member States have adopted
different approaches to this phenomenon, ranging from criminalisation of all activities
related to prostitution to regulation.

Titre du document: Document title:Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2016
Description:
It covers 136 countries and provides an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at global, regional and national levels, based primarily on trafficking cases detected between 2012 and 2014. As UNODC has been systematically collecting data on trafficking in persons for more than a decade, trend information is presented for a broad range of indicators. The thematic chapter of the 2016 edition of the Global Report looks at how migrants and refugees can be vulnerable to trafficking in persons, en route or at destination. It also analyses the particular condition of people escaping war, conflict and persecution.

Titre du document: Document title:“ Human trafficking : from exit to insertion, barriers and leverage ” Study of 21 experiences of victims of human trafficking for sexual exploitation who were supported by Amicale du Nid in 2015
Description:
This project, which has received funding from the ISEC programme of the European Commission’s DG
Justice, for the period running from 15/09/2014 to 15/09/2016, aims to study the experiences of victims
involved in order to identify obstacles to their emancipation and potential leverage that can be used to
provide help. It is led by a Franco-Bulgarian partnership, which enables consideration of the subject
from the point of view of both a country of origin and destination. This report concludes the first part
of the research-action project, which is based on meetings with victims of trafficking, as well as
professionals providing social support in France.

Titre du document: Document title:Human Trafficking: Issues Beyond Criminalization
Description:
Compared with the many and various historic forms of slavery, the current victims of trafficking share three common denominators with those enslaved in the past: subjection to one of the most extreme forms of violent social domination; alienation from any legitimate social order; degradation and dishonour because freedom is necessary to attain any form of status in society except the lowest.
The Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences is at the forefront of this
mobilization, from the scientific point of view and from the inter-religious
perspective as well, and the works of the present session will give further
impetus to this work.

Titre du document: Document title:Human Trafficking and Health: A Survey of Male and Female Survivors in England
Description:
The objective of the study is to investigate physical and mental health and experiences of violence among male and female trafficking survivors in a high-income country. The participants had been trafficked for sexual exploitation (29%), domestic servitude (29.3%), and labor exploitation (40.4%). Sixty-six percent of women reported forced sex during trafficking, including 95% of those trafficked for sexual exploitation and 54% of those trafficked for domestic servitude. Psychological interventions to support the recovery of this highly vulnerable population are urgently needed.
