 The survey was undertaken in order to obtain general information on HIV/AIDS programmes for mobile populations, but it may also allow the establishment of a networking mechanism for organizations carrying out HIV initiatives among migrants and mobile population. Also it may serve to assess common difficulties and best practices of such programmes, as well as to better plan strategies and initiatives for mobile population. the survey was conducted through a questionnaire, distributed by post, by hand, and online during July and August of 2000 and 2001.
