Description:
 The Special Rapporteur visited Albania from 31 October to 7 November 2005. He went to Tirana, Korca and Elbasan. The visit to Albania was followed by a mission to Greece from 8 to 15 November 2005 to better understand the transnational elements of phenomena such as child trafficking and migration flows of unaccompanied children, which are the main focus of both reports. The recommendations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) issued in March 2005 were used as reference and benchmarks in assessing progress and challenges that the country is facing to build a functioning child protection system.
