 The fight against trafficking in women and children requires a long term effort, not least to reduce the underlying causes, such as poverty, conflicts, inequitable social distribution and marginalisation.With this Plan of action (2006-2009), the Norwegian Government is paving the way for coordinated, coherent efforts to stop human trafficking and ensure that victims are helped and protected.
