In its response, the Government recognise that people involved in prostitution and sex work can be particularly vulnerable to sexual and other violent crime, and may in fact be victims of sexual exploitation or modern slavery. The Government welcomes the commendation in the report of the police for its focus on protecting those involved in prostitution and sex work, and for seeking to gain their assistance in targeting those who exploit them or commit other crimes.
