Description:
All children in the world should enjoy an education, have time to play, and live their lives in freedom. Unfortunately, this is not the case for millions of children who are victims of child labour. Many of these children, particularly those in the worst forms of child labour, are trafficked from one place to another to work for others. IPEC, the world's largest technical cooperation programme to end child labour, conducts action research on child trafficking, promotes social mobilization, and supports the efforts of governments, workers' and employers' organizations and civil society in the prevention of trafficking, and protection and support for victims. For operational purposes, and in line with the Palermo Protocol and relevant ILO Conventions, it distinguishes the different elements of child trafficking.
