 Strategies towards an integrated approach to combat child sexual exploitation in South Africa. The sexual exploitation of children through prostitution, child pornography and the trafficking of children for sexual purposes have since the advent of democracy become a matter of concern for civil society structures in South Africa. The South African government has also acknowledged the threat it poses to the well-being of children with its commitment to the Stockholm Agenda for Action and others. This paper looks at existing mechanisms to erradicate child exploitation, the reasons for child exploitation and multi-faceted approaches in the efforts to eradicate child sexual exploitation.
