Where possible, each chapter of this report follows a similar pattern: policy-oriented information is dealt with first, followed by the figures, then any international developments, and lastly relevant points of interest and bottlenecks. A lot has happened in relation to combating THB in the Netherlands since the publication of the third Report, the last report which contained an extensive description of the developments in this area. Still, many points remain on which progress can and should be made.These are dealt with in Chapter 10 in the form of recommendations. These recommendations cover a wide range of issues, including legislation and regulations, victims of THB, assistance and the protection of interests, law enforcement, police and investigation, and the PPS and prosecution. |
