Description:
 The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. In Gambia, the National Action Plan against the sexual abuse and exploitation of children (2004-2009) is yet to be ratified by the Government : its official approval is crucial in order to legitimise certain activities that are already being undertaken as part of the Plan's implementation.
