Description:

The typical chain of traffickers in Central Asia may consist, at a minimum, from a recruiter, transportation assistant, and exploiter. Very often, these three act in different country each: the recruiter in the country of victims' origin, the transporter in the country or countries of transit, and the exploiter in the country of destination. In the majority of trafficking cases known by the author and the NGOs in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the recruitment was conducted by one or two persons.
