 Based on findings from 113 interviews conducted in 2006 and 2007, the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation discusses some characteristics of men who purchase sex and makes preliminary recommendations for combatting the demand for prostitution. These recommendations include education and prevention efforts targeting young men, education for community members about methods of decreasing demand in their neighborhoods, and implementing intervention efforts for men who currently purchase sex.
