 The intent of this exploratory study was to move beyond assumptions that surround the crime of prostitution, its actors and law enforcement response in the City and County of Denver. Data are gathered to understand attitudes, perceptions and actions regarding prostitution enforcement broadly by using surveys and interviews with various law enforcement actors. Are also examined arrest and court data, which provided a comprehensive picture of prostitution enforcement and how these systems are poised to handle sex tracking violations. This exploratory study is the first of its kind due to the nature of multiple methodologies, and is designed to provide baseline context for future research needed to bridge issues that connect prostitution with sex trafficking.
