 In this report, the National Rapporteur analyses the possibilities for combating child sex tourism engaged in by Dutch nationals. The National Rapporteur found that there are actions that the government can take, particularly in terms of prevention. The key message of the report is therefore as follows: Children have the right to protection against sexual violence. The government must endeavour to prevent Dutch nationals from committing sexual violence against children in other countries. Measures restricting the liberty of convicted paedosexuals, international cooperation and the sharing of information are important instruments for preventing, investigating and prosecuting child sex tourism.
