Description:
 The Philippines takes note of the Report and recognizes the integral role of the Special Rapporteur in promoting a human rights-based approach to combat trafficking in persons, especially women and children. The Philippines would nonetheless like to clarify certain inaccuracies in fact and law in the report. The Philippines believes that some parts of the report contain sweeping generalizations that were based on unsubstantiated allegations or isolated incidents that do not reflect the actual conditions in which the Philippines pursues its campaign against trafficking in persons.
