 This study is situated in the wider policy and legal context of Directive 2011/36/EU on preventing and combating
trafficking in human beings and protecting its victims and the European Union (EU) Strategy towards the eradication
of trafficking in human beings 2012-2016 (EU anti-trafficking strategy). The focus of the study is on projects funded by the EC which address trafficking in human beings. The study developed
a trafficking projects data set from documents and other relevant materials provided by the EC and through
additional searches of the internet on EC-funded anti-trafficking projects
