This report is based on the findings of the study “Protecting victims, an analysis of the Anti-Trafficking Directive from the perspective of a victim of gender-based violence”. Trafficking for sexual exploitation is firmly established in the European Union’s international legal and policy instruments as a form of violence against women. However, providing effective access to assistance, support and protection to victims remains a challenge for most Member States.
