The report covers the policies, laws and practices in return migration – both involuntary and voluntary – of the current 15 EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, UK), the ten acceding states (Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia), and Norway and Switzerland. The 27 country chapters attempt to cover the same ground in a systematic way, as far as possible following the below sequence and format for involuntary return and voluntary return respectively: policy, legislative instruments and provisions, administrative and procedural arrangements, statistics, best Practices and lessons learned. |
