The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation, prevention, recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC. In Norway, based on the experiences of the first Action Plan (2003), the Government launched a follow-up Plan of Action on Combating Trafficking, for the period 2005-2008, identifying new initiatives and giving more attention to trafficking in children. But it is necessary to conduct a policy review of all the current initiatives to combat the commercial sexual exploitation of children, to identify gaps in the existing national plans and their implementation and to design the necessary follow-up actions |
