Description:
 The Special Rapporteur visited Nairobi, Mombasa and Malindi from 25 August to 1 September 1997 in order to study commercial sexual exploitation of children in a large urban centre like Nairobi, as well as in a coastal area with a view to exploring the impact of tourism on sexual exploitation of children. In addition, the Special Rapporteur was interested to study any initiatives already undertaken in Kenya, both by Government and non-governmental organizations, to combat existing problems.
