If we review most of the information that circulates in the media, we find that the issue of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is disguised as prostitution. News reports identify the children and adolescents, directly or indirectly, as infractors and sometimes even present them as the only people involved in this situation, which degrades them as human beings. They are seen as having chosen this lifestyle, and the other people involved in the commercial sex circuit are completely ignored. Clients, pimps, networks and the state receive minimal mention in the media. |
