Description:
 This workshop, including extradition measures, was held in Bangkok, as one of the six workshops of the United Nations Congress on crime prevention and criminal justice, organized by HEUNI and ISISC. The participants identified many successes, in the effort toward international law enforcement cooperation. Areas found to be in need of improvement included : need to better utilize available information and databases ; methods to make the extradition process more efficient ; support to developing countries needed to improve their capacity for law enforcement cooperation ; tracking and reporting instances of international cooperation is essential to measure progress ; wider ratification of exixting instruments is required to facilitate the pace of international law enforcement cooperation.
