Description:
 Letter dated 18 January 2006 from the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations Office at Geneva addressed to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. The letter, from the Director-General of the Ministry of Justice, expresses the hope that this matter be given the appropriate attention by the Office of the High Commissioner through sending qualified experts to organize seminars/workshops for training Lebanese civil servants, and to launch campaigns of awareness for all Lebanese citizens. Moreover, the letter conveys the desire of the Government of Lebanon to cooperate with the international community to address the matter and the wish that Lebanon be enlisted by the Office of the High Commissioner among the Member States seeking technical assistance to tackle the problem of trafficking in persons.
