 The Agenda for action against commercial sexual exploitation of children provides a detailed framework and categories of actions to be taken by governments in partnership and other relevant actors for combating commercial sexual crimes against children. Broadly, these actions are focused on : coordination and cooperation; prevention; recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration; child participation. The Agenda for action is thus the formal and guiding structure used by governments that have adopted it and committed to work against CSEC.The Australian government developed a National Plan of Action in 2000, without a specific time frame. It provides the basic background information for the development of a coordinated cross-sectoral and inter-gouvernmental response to CSEC, and resulted from a participatory and consultative process. But little concret action has been undertaken to implement the NPA, which has rather served as a lobbying and advocacy tool for civil society groups working on CSEC.
