Description:
 The Committee urges the State party (France) to take all appropriate measures to suppress all forms of trafficking and exploitation of prostitution. In order to ensure that trafficked women and girls, in need of international protection, are not expelled, the Committee recommends that the State party review the obligation of submitting a complaint to be granted residence permits. The Committee calls upon the State party to undertake a comprehensive study on the impact of the Act of 18 March 2003 on internal security, including the prohibition of passive soliciting, on the area of prostitution and to review the definition on sexual harassment.
