 In preparation for the World Congress III, the South Asia Forum (SAF) Regional Preparatory Consultation for the World Congress III was organised in Kathmandu,Nepal from 27-29 August 2008. The SAF Consultation was significant in its efforts to include children's views. The Regional Consultation focused on the development of a common understanding on the concept and themes of the World Congress III, analysed the challenges and progress made in addressing the priority issues affecting the children in the region, including sexual exploitation of children, and collectively formulated the regional goals and targets to be proposed during the World Congress III.
