 Although there is a consensus among international organizations, governments and academics regarding the seriousness and significance of the re-trafficking of persons as a problem, there has been very little research conducted into its incidence, cause(s) or consequence(s).According to this research, it is often difficult to separate the causes of re-trafficking from the wider causal factors of trafficking, in which a well documented and broad range of socioeconomic factors intersect and interact.
