Description:
 The Universal Periodic Review (UPR), established in 2006,i is a recent intergovernmental review process of the human rights situation in all 193 UN member states. It is different from UN treaty bodies such as the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) or the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). ECPAT International considers the UPR process as a critical platform (complementary to the Committee on the Rights of the Child) to advocate for the rights of children at risk and/or victims of CSEC.
