 The context and starting point for this study (March-August 2012) is the Mayor of London's Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy : Taking Action to End Violence Against Women and Girls (Mayor of London, March 2010). The three year strategy sets the objective to adopt and promote the United Nations definition of VAWG and focuses on tackling and addressing it in all its forms, acknowledging prostitution and trafficking as forms of VAWG.
