Description:
 The study enrolled female sex workers (FSWs) in Mombasa, a major economic centre in Kenya and East Africa, with busy port, rail and industrial enterprises, and also host to tourists from around the world. A capture-recapture enumeration of FSWs in 2010 estimated that there were over 18,000 FSWs in Mombasa (unpublished data).
