Description:
 The Special Rapporteur highlights the efforts of the Government in combating trafficking in children, including through ratification of international and regional instruments and adoption of domestic legislation, as well as the adoption of a multisectoral approach in combating trafficking of children. The Special Rapporteur expresses concerns with regard to, inter alia, the legal gap in addressing all forms of trafficking and adult victims; weak institutional capacity and coordination; the absence of a single governmental institution to address trafficking issues; and lack of reliable data.
