 Th objective of this template is to facilitate the work of the National Rapporteurs or Equivalent Mechanisms (NREMs), as defined in Directive 2011/36/EU on preventing and combatting trafficking in human beings, and protecting its victims (Directive), in particular in articles 19 and 20. Although not an obligation, the template intends to give guidance and the NREMs are encouraged to make full use of it in order to ensure more consistency information gathering and thus reporting at the EU level.
